We continue to have 9 paid members. We are current with International and District 49‐A dues.
In May we awarded $500.00 scholarships to two of our graduating seniors. We had 10 applicants for these 2 scholarships.
We also picked up trash along 2 miles of the Zimovia Highway. Signage is now in place designating our adoption of that section of highway.
We continue to collect aluminum from multiple sites around town. This project requires one to two hours a week for one Lion member. Our collection boxes are identified with a Lion logo and the amount of aluminum we are receiving is definitely increased over the past months.
Boy Scouts Troop 40 operated a 4th of July booth. 3 Lions club members helped set up and operate the booth. The booth has been owned and operated by Lions club for more than 20 years and is a popular event for Wrangell folks on the 4th.
