I had the opportunity to head to Wrangell this weekend to do vision screening at two events.  Friday we screened 58 children with 16 referrals at Evergreen Elementary.  Not bad considering I got stuck in Ketchikan and arrived a couple hours late!
On Saturday we screened 63 with 11 referrals at the Children’s Coalition Fair.
The Wrangell Sentinel published a great story about the Wrangell Lions Club.  I hope this brings in new members and a new hope for the club.  You can read the story here:

While there, I had the opportunity to spend time with Lion Keene Kohrt about a variety of things — Lionism today as compared to years ago, bringing in new members, and engaging our youth.
It was a good weekend.
