How big is the Lions Organization? Lions Clubs International (LCI)  is the world’s largest service club organization with a network of 1.3 million men and women in more than 200 countries and geographical locations. We serve where we live, as well as globally, and we have fun doing it. Our 46,000 clubs and 1.35 million members make us the world’s largest service club organization.

How do I become a Lion? If you are interested in becoming a Lion, contact your local Lions Club and express interest in learning more.  A club locator can be found on the Lions Clubs International Web site District 49 Clubs can be found here.

Are there women Lions? Yes. Women are the single fastest growing segment of Lions.

Alaska, USA and Yukon, Canada Lions

What is Multiple District 49? District 49A and District 49B are the component Sub-Districts of Multiple District 49 (MD49). They service communities in Alaska, USA and Yukon, Canada. The Districts mostly operate autonomously. When cooperation is desired. a committee consisting of the two District Governors and a Counsel Chairperson (elected each year from Past District Governors) decide how to best achieve the desired results. A MD49 Convention is held in April each year to decide major issues
